Cloud sync & accounts
Poker Club HQ keeps your tournaments on your device. Signing in is optional, and it adds cloud backup plus live sync across every device you’re signed into.
Creating an account
Section titled “Creating an account”Open the navigation drawer and tap Sign in. You can sign in with:
- Email and password — enter both and tap Sign in, or tap Register to create a new account. Forgotten password? emails you a reset link.
- Continue with Google
- Continue with Apple
Google and Apple sign-in appear where the platform offers them — Apple on iOS and the web, Google on iOS, Android, and the web. On desktop, use email and password.
After signing in, your tournaments start syncing automatically.
How sync works
Section titled “How sync works”Sync is offline-first:
- You make a change — add a player, start the timer, enter a knockout
- It’s saved on your device immediately
- About half a second after you stop making changes, it uploads
- Every other device signed into the same account picks it up in real time
- Offline, changes queue up and go out when you’re back on the network
So the app keeps working with no connection at all. That’s what makes a two-screen setup practical: run the tournament from your phone while a tablet or laptop shows the timer, switch devices mid-tournament without losing anything, and get a cloud backup for free.
Signing in also unlocks QR code sharing, which puts a live read-only timer on any screen, and roles, which let someone else help you run the tournament.
Device clock
Section titled “Device clock”Timestamps are anchored to the server, so a device clock that’s off no longer breaks anything. The app corrects outgoing timestamps for you and keeps syncing.
If your clock is off by more than a couple of minutes, the navigation drawer shows a note — “Your device’s date & time appear to be inaccurate. Timestamps are corrected automatically, but correcting the clock is recommended.” — and the bottom of the drawer reports the measured Device time drift.
To fix it, open your device’s date and time settings and turn on Set automatically.
Profile management
Section titled “Profile management”Tap Profile in the navigation drawer to:
- Edit your name — tap the pencil beside it
- Copy your email address — tap it to copy to the clipboard, handy when someone needs to give you a role in their club
- Verify your email, if you registered with a password — see Roles & shared control
- Sign out or Delete account
Signing out
Section titled “Signing out”Account deletion
Section titled “Account deletion”Delete account sits at the bottom of the Profile screen.
- Tap Delete account and confirm in the dialog.
- If you haven’t signed in recently, you’ll be asked to confirm your password — or to sign in with Google or Apple again.
- Your account and all of its cloud data are deleted.
