Managing players

The Players screen is where you manage everyone in your tournament — from initial buy-ins through eliminations and final payouts.

There are two ways to add players:

  1. From the Players menu — Tap the people icon in the top right and select “Add players.” A text field appears below the app bar where you can type player names and press Enter to add them one at a time.
  2. Import players — From the same menu, select “Import players” to bring in a player list from a CSV file or from other tournaments on your device.

Players start in the “Not bought in” section until they buy in.

The player list is organized into three sections with sticky headers:

  • Bought in — Active players currently in the tournament
  • Eliminated — Players who have been knocked out
  • Not bought in — Players added but not yet participating

Each section shows the number of players it contains.

Tap any player (or section header) to open the action menu. The available actions depend on the player’s current status:

For players who haven’t bought in yet. Enter the chip amount and cost, then optionally toggle “Buy bounty chip” if bounties are enabled for the tournament. The bounty chip cost is charged in addition to the buy-in — see Bounties. After buying in, you’ll be asked if you want to seat the player at a table.

For active players when addons are enabled. Gives the player additional chips for a specified cost.

For eliminated or active players when rebuys are enabled. If the player was previously eliminated, this is shown as “Reentry.” The player receives a new stack of chips and can be reseated at a table.

For active players who don’t currently hold a bounty chip. Available when the bounty feature is turned on.

Marks a player as knocked out. You’ll be asked to select who eliminated them — this is tracked for stats and bounty purposes. If a player with a bounty chip is eliminated, the bounty transfers to the eliminator.

  • Seat — Assign bench players to table seats
  • Reseat — Move seated players to different seats
  • Unseat — Return players to the bench

Removes a player from the tournament. If the bubble hasn’t burst yet, this appears as “Left game or Chop” to handle situations where remaining players negotiate a deal.

Change a player’s display name. Names must be unique within the tournament.

Permanently remove a player. Only available for players who don’t appear in the tournament log.

You can perform actions on multiple players at once. When an action supports it, a selection screen appears with checkboxes next to each eligible player. Use the “Select all” checkbox in the app bar to quickly select everyone.

The Undo and Redo buttons appear in the top right of the app bar whenever actions can be reversed. Undo reverses the last player action (buy-in, knockout, etc.) and Redo restores it.

Each player tile shows:

  • Player initials — Colored avatar
  • Name — Player’s display name
  • Status details — Finishing place, table and seat number, “Not seated” for bench players
  • Bounty info — Bounty chip value and winnings (if bounties enabled)
  • Financial summary — Total paid and chips received
  • Elimination info — Chips eliminated from opponents
  • Rebalance count — How many times the player has been moved for table balancing

Swipe left on any player tile to delete them (with confirmation). This is a shortcut for the Delete action in the player menu.
