Trash & restore

Deleting a tournament, folder, or chip set doesn’t erase it. It goes to the trash, where it stays until you restore it or erase it deliberately.

Moving something to the trash

From the home screen or any folder, either:

• Swipe the item left, or
• Tap ⋮ on its row and choose Move to trash

Moving a folder to the trash takes everything inside it along.

Opening the trash

Whenever the trash isn’t empty, a small trash button appears at the bottom of the home screen and every folder. Tap it to see what’s in there.

Restoring

Tap any item in the trash and confirm Restore ”…”?, or tap ⋮ on its row and choose Restore.

Note

A restored item goes back into the folder you were looking at when you opened the trash — not necessarily the folder it was deleted from. If you want it somewhere specific, open that folder first, then open the trash.

Restoring rebuilds the item from a saved snapshot, so it’s subject to the same limits as importing a file: if it would exceed your storage or nest folders more than four levels deep, the app tells you instead of restoring. Very occasionally a snapshot can’t be rebuilt at all, and you’ll see Restore failed.

Erasing for good

Two ways, both permanent and both confirmed first:

• One item — Swipe it left in the trash, or tap ⋮ and choose Permanently erase
• Everything — Tap Empty trash in the app bar

Caution

There’s no undo past this point. Once an item is erased from the trash it’s gone.

What the trash means for your other devices

The trash lives only on the device you deleted from — it is never uploaded. The item itself, though, is removed from the cloud the moment you move it to the trash.

So if you delete a tournament on your phone, it disappears from your tablet and the web right away, and the only remaining copy is the snapshot in your phone’s trash. Restoring it on the phone uploads it again and it comes back everywhere.

Caution

Because the trash doesn’t sync, it’s not a backup you can reach from another device. If a tournament matters, Export it before deleting — see Home screen & folders.

A tournament that had a QR code loses it when you move it to the trash, and restoring doesn’t bring it back. Create a new code afterwards if you still want to share the timer — see QR code sharing.
