Home screen & folders
The home screen lists everything you’ve created — tournaments, folders, and chip sets. Folders are how you group tournaments into a season or league, and they’re what Club stats runs on.
Adding something new
Section titled “Adding something new”Tap + in the top right to open Add new:
- Folder — A container for tournaments and other folders
- Tournament — A new tournament (setting one up)
- Import from file — Load a tournament, chip set, or folder that was exported from another device
- Import from the old app — Bring a tournament across from the Texas Holdem Poker Timer app. Only appears on an iPhone or iPad where Poker Club HQ replaced that app. See Coming from the old app.
An empty home screen prompts you with “Tap the + in the top right to add a tournament.”
Folders
Section titled “Folders”Tap a folder to open it. Everything inside — including the + button and the sort header — works the same way as the home screen, so you can nest folders inside folders up to four levels deep. Once you’re that deep, Folder stops appearing in the Add new sheet.
To rename a folder, open it and tap its name in the app bar.
Sorting the list
Section titled “Sorting the list”Once a list has two or more items, a header appears with two columns:
- Name — Sort alphabetically
- Modified — Sort by when each item last changed
Tap either one to sort by it; tap the same one again to reverse the direction. The choice applies to every folder, not just the one you’re in, and it’s remembered between sessions. Out of the box the list is sorted by Modified, most recently changed first, so whatever you were last working on is at the top.
Item menu
Section titled “Item menu”Tap ⋮ on any row for:
- Duplicate — Make a copy, named after the original: a copy of
Friday Nightis calledFriday Night copy, and the next oneFriday Night copy 2. Duplicating a folder copies everything inside it. - Export — Share the item as a
.pchqfile. Exporting a folder bundles the whole tree into one file. - Download — Save that file directly (on the web)
- Move to… — Move the item into a different folder. This only appears once you have at least one folder to move it to.
- Move to trash — See Trash & restore
Opening a file someone sent you
Section titled “Opening a file someone sent you”On an iPhone or iPad, tap the .pchq file wherever it arrives — a Mail attachment, the Files app, an AirDrop — and it opens in Poker Club HQ and lands on your home screen. Tournament files from the old Texas Holdem Poker Timer app (.ptt) open the same way.
On Android and the web, use Import from file in the + menu instead.
Deleting
Section titled “Deleting”Swipe an item left to move it to the trash. Nothing is erased right away — a trash button appears at the bottom of the screen whenever the trash has anything in it, and you can restore from there. See Trash & restore.
